The problem with many so-called "gospel" music performers is that they are not truly selling their soul to the world. They are selling out to their own personal desires. They are selling out because their music is all about the money and the fame. And, if one does not sell out to money and fame, then there is no guarantee that they will be famous at all.

More than that, there is no guarantee that they will be rich either. When one looks beyond the superficial, it is easy to see how the gospel music world often glamorizes sin instead of showing how to fight it.
